Shell small up to 2.55 mm high, fragile, subcircular, inequivalve of sculture, equilateral, left valve more convex than right valve, auricles nearly equal in size (posterior slightly larger)and shape and sculpture continuous with disc, unbonal area opaque white, few irregular, opaque white radial streaks on both valves, elsewhere colourless and tanslucent.
Left valve disc and auricles sculptured with widely spaced commarginal lamellae and very weak radial threads.Right valve with outer layer of commarginally elongate, hexagonal prisms. Byssal notch of moderate depth, byssal fasciole rather broad. Internal riblets lacking.
