Shell up to ca. 15 mm high, weakly inflated, left valve weakly convex convex, right valve nearly flat, circular, nearly equivalve and equilateral, auricles nearly equal in size, but unequal in shape.
Both valves sculptured with closely spaced commarginal lamellae, less prominent on right valve. Auricles continuous with shell disc, except anterior auricle of right valve, which is distinct. Byssal notch relatively deep, byssal fasciole and ctenolium lacking.
