Type data   Holotype (H 12.8 mm, L 12.9 mm, D 3.3 mm) Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle (MNHN 20455). Type locality: French Polynesia, Marquesas Islands, Eiao, 07*55'S, 140*44'W, 660-680 m, alive, N.O. "Alis", col. B. Richer de Forges & P. Bouchet, 04.ix.1997 (MUSORSTOM 9 stn CP 1272).
Description

  Shell up to ca. 13 mm high, fragile, opaque to semi-transparent, flattened, left valve slightly more convex than right valve, almost circular, inequivalve, equilateral, auricles unequal in shape and size, umbonal angle ca. 120 degrees, colour whitish.

  Left valve with delicate commarginal lamellae and radial lirae. Right valve with commarginal lirae. Marginal apron pressed to left valve. Internal ribs 10 with one or two short interstitial riblets. Byssal notch moderately deep and small, byssal fasciole narrow.

Habitat   Living 600-708 m on soft bottom assemblages.
