Description | Shell up to ca. 17 mm high, very fragile, semi-transparent, very weakly inflated, left valve weakly convex, right valve flat, circular, inequivalve, equilateral, auricles nearly equal in size, unequal in shape, colour whitish, internal ribs lacking, umbonal angle ca. 110 degrees. Both valves weakly commarginally undulated, left valve with very closely spaced, fine commarginal lamellae, right valve smooth, near margin delicate commarginal lamellae. Auricles continuous with disc, except anterior auricle of right valve, demarcated from the disc, with delicate commarginal lamellae. Byssal notch deep, byssal fasciole and ctenolium lacking. |
