Description | Shell up to ca. 10 mm high, fragile, semi-transparent, weakly inflated, subcircular, somewhat wider than high, left valve slightly more convex than right valve, inequivalve, nearly equilateral, anterior auricles larger than posterior, unequal in shape, only one rudimentary internal riblet on posterior auricle, umbonal angle ca. 105 degrees, colour milky white. Left valve with a delicate reticulate sculpture and secondary intercalated radial riblets. Intersections with fine spines. Auricles of similar sculpture. Right valve with closely spaced commarginal lirae and minute radial sculpture. Byssal notch shallow, byssal fasciole narrow and ctenolium lacking. |
