Description | Shell up to ca. 4 mm high, fragile, semi-transparent, weakly inflated, subcircular, somewhat wider than high, left valve slightly more convex than right valve, inequivalve, nearly equilateral, anterior auricles larger than posterior, unequal in shape, internal ribs ca. 15 with some intercalated rudimentary riblets, umbonal angle ca. 105 degrees, colour milky white. Left valve with ca. 25 radial costae lirae with small tubercles and very closely spaced commarginal lamellae, less conspicuous than costae. Anterior auricle with coarse commarginal lirae, weaker on posterior auricle. Right valve with closely spaced minute commarginal lamellae. Posterior auricle with coarse commarginal lirae, weaker on anterior auricle with some radial riblets. Byssal notch shallow, byssal fasciole narrow and ctenolium lacking. |
