Description

  Shell up to ca. 7 mm high, thin, semi-transparent, weakly inflated, left valve more convex than right valve, inequivalve, subcircular, inequilateral, auricles equal in size, unequal in shape, umbonal angle ca. 90 degrees, colour dirty white.

  Left valve with closely spaced commarginal lamellae and intercalated delicate radial riblets. Auricles only with commarginal lamellae. Posterior auricle continuous with disc.

  Right valve with similar sculpture, but weaker.

Byssal notch deep, byssal fasciole narrow, ctenolium obsolete.

Habitat   Probably living bathyally on soft bottom assemblages.
